Description: California Common - Amager wanted to prove that they could make a low alcohol beer that's rich in taste... and they named the outcome "Fusion". As the name indicates it is a true fusion beer due to the fact that their inspiration came from different styles and countries. The yeast is a classic German pilsner yeast, which was fermented at 71.6°F. This is a technique known from the classic American style, "California Common" a.k.a. "Steam Beer". Consequently, Amager was able to combine the crisp freshness from a lager with a portion of the fruity freshness found in top fermented beers. Their choice of malt is somewhat unusual as they selected an English Mild Ale malt adding a dark, roasted character to the beer, as well as a couple handfuls of German caramel malt which adds a soft sweetness to the beer. The addition of Centennial, Chinook, and Amarillo massages the taste buds. Additionally, these hops leave behind the most pleasurable, gentle citric-like freshness.
