Description: Irish Dry Stout - IBU: 30 - The development of Boston Irish Stout was quite a learning experience as Harpoon not only needed to come up with a recipe they liked, but had to learn how to nitrogenate beer on a large scale and package it properly. There were a few bumps in the road as they went along, but thankfully they could always drink their mistakes. Of course, it is also fun to see the tap attached to the bright beer tank (the tank Harpoon packages out of). They need to sample pints out of the tank prior to packaging because it’s the only sure way to confirm that the beer is going to pour correctly when it is put in the keg. Quality control is a tough job at the brewery!
