Description: Pumpkin Saison - Alex Rodriguez (not the Yankee) of Boulevard flew from Kansas City to Columbia and brought with him one of their proprietary Belgian yeast strains. We gathered pumpkins from Mount Airy, peeled them, cut them to pieces, roasted them, and garnished them with brown sugar and cinnamon. We took these pumpkins and added them to the boil to create the base of this beer. The brew ended up being a gorgeous, vibrant orange body. The frothy white head is enriched with notes of fall and winter spices, with a slight touch of vanilla bean. The Belgian beer connoisseur will be very pleased with the complexity of this brew, appeasing any true Saison fanatic.
