Description: Belgian Strong Dark Ale - IBU: 20 - This mahogany colored winter brew is heavily spiced and sweetened with rich flavors of molasses, caramel and toffee. Subtle but noticeable hints of dry chocolate comes through, while the overwhelming roasty malt flavors are harmoniously tweaked with cinnamon, brown sugar, vanilla, nutmeg and dark fruit. This has been one of the more anticipated seasonal releases from the pioneer "gypsy brewer". Most collectors of this brew will do vertical tasting to see how the complex flavors differ over time. Although this may be a treat to experience, we strongly suggest it's as good fresh or matured. Any dessert selection would be a sure accompany with this brew, in particular our rich chocolate tart would balance will with the generous spices of the Mikkeller Santa's Little Helper.
